VACANCY:
A total of 07 posts have been notified, which is distributed as follows:
1. JSA (General Administration): 04 posts
(UR: 02, OBC: 01, SC: 01)
2. JSA (Finance & Accounts): 02 posts
(UR: 01, OBC: 01)
3. JSA (Store & Purchase): 01 post
(UR: 01)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 10/03/2025):
(i) 12th passed from any recognised board; AND,
(ii) Proficiency in computer typing @ 35 wpm in English/30 wpm in Hindi.
AGE LIMIT (as on 10/03/2025):
• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 28 years
• Age relaxation will be given to:
(i) OBC-NCL: 03 years
(ii) SC/ST: 05 years
(iii) Ex-servicemen: 3 years (after deducting no. of years of military service)
(iv) PwBD: 10 years (13 years for OBC & 15 years for SC/ST)
(v) Widowed/Divorced Women: up to 35 years (40 years for SC/ST)
(vi) CSIR Departmental Candidates: No Upper Age Limit.
SALARY:
• Pay Level: level-2
• Pay Band: 5200-20200
• Grade Pay: 1900
• Basic Pay: ₹19,900
• Dearness Allowance: 53%
• House Rent Allowance: 20% (for Y-city)
• Travelling Allowance: ₹900 + DA (53%)
• Deductions: NPS, Professional Tax, etc.
• Gross Salary: ₹36,500 approx.
• NET (In-hand) Salary: ₹32,800 approx.
SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the service will be done in two stages:
(i) Open Written Examination
(ii) Typing Test on Computer (Qualifying in Nature).
OPEN WRITTEN EXAM:
• Written Exam will be either OMR Based or Computer Based Test (CBT).
• It will have two papers:
(A) Paper-I: Mental Ability Test:
(i) Subjects: General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Problem Solving, Situational Judgement etc.
(ii) Number of questions: 100
(iii) Marks for each correct: +2 marks
(iv) Total Marks: 200 marks
(v) There will be no negative marks in this paper.
(vi) It will be only qualifying in nature (not counted for making the Merit list).
(vii) But without qualifying this paper, Paper-II will not be evaluated.
(B) Paper-II: Merit Paper:
(i) Subjects: General Awareness (50 questions) & English Language (50 questions)
(ii) Total: 100 questions
(iii) Marks for each correct: +3 marks
(iv) Total Marks: 300 marks
(v) Negative Marking: One-third (-1 marks)
(vi) Merit List will be based on marks scored in this paper only.
TYPING TEST:
(i) 350 words (English) or 300 words (Hindi) to be typed on the computer in 10 minutes.
(ii) Each word will be of minimum 5 characters/letters.
(iii) Candidates can give this test in either English or Hindi (as opted by the candidate in Application).
(iv) Font used for Hindi Typing will be Mangal Font.
(v) Maximum Mistakes Allowed: 7% (10% for reserved categories).
(vi) This typing test will be only qualifying in nature.
FINAL SELECTION:
Final selection will be done from the merit list prepared on the basis of marks scored in the Paper-II of the Open Written Test.
