Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released notification of 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024, for the recruitment of Group-B Officers in various departments of Bihar State Government.

Yes Other State Candidates can fill this form.
Remember: Other State Candidates will always be considered as General (Unreserved) Candidates.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
1. For all posts (except CDPO):

Must have a "Degree in any stream" from a UGC recognised university/institute.

2. For CDPO posts:
Must have a degree from a UGC recognised university, with at least one of the following subjects (main/optional):
(a) Home Science
(b) Psychology
(c) Social Science
(d) Labor and Social Welfare

NOTE: Appearing/Final Year Students are not eligible. You must have passed your graduation at the time of applying.

AGE LIMIT (as on 01/08/2024):
• Minimum: 20 years (for DSP, DC, JS)
• Minimum: 21 years (for APO, ADTO, MEO, RDO, RO, LEO, BPRO, Supply Inspector, BS&SWO, CDPO)
• Minimum: 22 years (for SDO, ACST, Assistant Registrar, AEO, BES, Assistant Director, DMWO, Cane Officer, DPO, BMWO)
• Maximum: 37 years

• Age relaxation in Upper Age Limit will be provided to:
1. For Female (UR) of Bihar: up to 40 years
2. For BC/EBC of Bihar: up to 40 years
3. For SC/ST of Bihar: up to 42 years
4. Employees of Bihar State Government: 5 years relaxation in category-wise upper age limit.
5. Physically Handicapped: 10 years relaxation in category-wise upper age limit.
6. Ex-servicemen: 3 years relaxation in category-wise upper age limit, after deducting their years of military service (age not to exceed 53 years).
7. Ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment/on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service/on invalidment: 5 years relaxation in category-wise upper age limit.

ATTEMPT LIMIT:
There is no any restrictions on number of attempts.
You can give unlimited attempts till your upper age limit, except for the Employees of Bihar State Government.
The employees of Bihar State Government will be given only Five (5) attempts (maximum), which will be counted after their joining of service.
Rest all candidates have no restrictions on number of attempts.

• Gross Salary: ₹71,500 approx.
• NET (In-hand) Salary: ₹60,900 approx.

C. Posts with a salary of Level-6:
1. Block Minority Welfare Officer (BMWO)

• Level: 6
• Pay Band: 9300-34800
• Grade Pay: 4200
• Basic Pay: ₹35400
• Dearness Allowance: 50%
• Gross Salary: ₹57,100 approx.
• NET (In-hand) Salary: ₹49,300 approx.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to both the State Services will be done in three stages:
A. Preliminary Examination
B. Main Examination
C. Personality Test/Interview

A. Preliminary Examination:
It is only for shortlisting candidates for Mains Exam, and it will not be counted for making merit list for service allotment.
• It contains "150 questions" from "General Awareness, Current Affairs, General Science & General Aptitude".
• Maximum Marks: 150 marks
• Total Time: 2 hours
• Type of Paper: Objective (MCQ-type)
• Negative Marking: One-third (-1/3 marks)
• Number of students shortlisted for the Main Examination: Ten (10) times the vacancy.

B. Main Examination:
B.1. For all other posts:

It contains five papers:
1. Paper-I: General Hindi: 100 marks - qualifying paper (not counted in merit).
2. Paper-II: General Studies-I: 300 marks
3. Paper-III: General Studies-II: 300 marks
4. Paper-IV: Essay: 300 marks
5. Paper-V: Optional Paper: 100 marks - qualifying paper (not counted in merit).
• TOTAL: 900 marks (for merit calculation).
• Type of Paper: Conventional (Descriptive-type), except Paper-V, which is objective (MCQ-type).
• Time for each paper: 3 hours
• Paper-I and Paper-V are only qualifying in nature, in which you need to score 30% to qualify.
• Number of students shortlisted for the Interview: 2.5 times the vacancy.

B.2. For the post of CDPO:
It contains four papers:
1. Paper-I: General Hindi: 100 marks - qualifying paper (not counted in merit).
2. Paper-II: General Studies-I: 300 marks
3. Paper-III: General Studies-II: 300 marks
4. Paper-IV: Optional Paper: 300 marks
• TOTAL: 900 marks (for merit calculation).
• Type of Paper: Conventional (Descriptive-type).
• Time for each paper: 3 hours
• Paper-I is only qualifying in nature, in which you need to score 30% to qualify.
• Number of students shortlisted for the Interview: 2.5 times the vacancy.
• In Optional Paper (Paper-IV), you have to choose anyone from the following: Home Science, Psychology, Social science, and Labor & Social Welfare.

C. Personality Test/Interview
Candidates equal to 2.5 times the number of vacancies (category wise) will be called for Personality Test/Interview.
In this stage, your personality is tested, whether you are fit for the service or not.
TOTAL Marks of Interview: 120 marks.

FINAL SELECTION:
Final Selection to the services will be done on the basis of the merit list prepared from Mains and Interview marks.
Total Marks (Final Merit) = Mains + Interview= 900 + 120 = 1020 marks.
