The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is a 'Schedule-A' Mini Ratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the ownership of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. Its primary responsibility is administration, upgradation and maintenance of civil aviation infrastructure in India.
Now, AAI has released notification for direct recruitment of Senior Assistant (Electronics) in various airports across the Northern Region (NR). Here in this blog, I have explained all the details related to this recruitment notification.

VACANCY:
A total of 47 posts have been notified, which is distributed as follows:
(i) UR/General: 22 vacancies
(ii) EWS: 04 vacancies
(iii) OBC: 11 vacancies
(iv) SC: 08 vacancies
(v) ST: 02 vacancies

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 05/03/2025):
(i) Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunication/Radio Engineering; AND,
(ii) Two years relevant experience in the concerned discipline.

AGE LIMIT (as on 05/03/2025):
• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 30 years
• Age relaxation will be given to:
(i) OBC-NCL: 03 years
(ii) SC/ST: 05 years
(iii) Ex-servicemen: 3 years (after deducting no. of years of military service)
(iv) Candidates in regular service of AAI (UR/EWS): 10 years
(v) Candidates in regular service of AAI (OBC-NCL): 13 years
(vi) Candidates in regular service of AAI (SC/ST): 15 years
(vii) Ex-Agniveers: 03 years (05 years for 1st batch).
(viii) Widowed/Divorced Women (UR/EWS): up to 35 years
(ix) Widowed/Divorced Women (OBC-NCL): up to 38 years
(x) Widowed/Divorced Women (SC/ST): up to 40 years

DOMICILE:
Only candidates of Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand can apply for this post.

SALARY:
• During Training,
Monthly Stipend: ₹25,000
(Duration of Training: 04 months)

• After Training,
Pay Level: NE-6 level
Pay Scale: ₹36,000-3%-1,10,000 (IDA)
Basic Pay: ₹36,000
Gross Annual CTC: ₹15 lakhs approx.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the service will be done in two stages:
(i) Written Exam (Computer Based Test)
(ii) Documents Verification

WRITTEN EXAM (COMPUTER BASED TEST):
• It will have two parts:
(a) Part-A: 70% questions on subjects relating to educational qualifications prescribed for the posts.
(b) Part-B: 30% questions on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude, English etc.
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: Two (2) hours
• There will be no any Negative Marking.
• Minimum pass marks:
(i) 50% for UR/EWS/OBC candidates.
(ii) 40% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

FINAL SELECTION:
• Final selection will be done on the basis of marks scored in the Written Test (CBT) only.
• Appointment is based on CBT Merit and subject to successful completion of the Ab-Initio Training for the 12 weeks and On the Job Training (OJT) for the period of 4 weeks.
