Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is a Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), under direct control of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India. CISF has invited applications for recruitment of Constable Drivers and Driver-cum-Pump Operator (Driver for Fire Service). Here in this blog, I have explained all the details related to this recruitment notification.

2. Driver-cum-Pump Operator (Fire Service): 279 vacancies

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
1. Driver (Direct):
• Education:
Class 10th passed from a recognised board.
• Other: 03 years experience of driving HMV/LMV/Motorcycle with gear.
• Age Limit: 21 to 27 years (as on 04/03/2025).

2. Driver-cum-Pump Operator (Fire Service):
• Education:
Class 10th passed from a recognised board.
• Other: 03 years experience of driving HMV/LMV/Motorcycle with gear.
• Age Limit: 21 to 27 years (as on 04/03/2025).

NOTE: The Driving Experience shall be calculated from the date of issuance of the Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Licenses (as on 04/03/2025).

AGE RELAXATION:
Age Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to the following candidates:
1. OBC (NCL): 03 years
2. SC/ST: 05 years
3. Ex-servicemen: 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age.
4. Central Civilian Employees with 03 years continuous service: up to 40 years age (43 for OBC & 45 for SC/ST).
5. Children and dependents of those killed in 1984 Sikh Riots and 2002 Gujarat Communal Riots: 05 years (08 years for OBC & 10 years for SC/ST)

HEIGHT, CHEST & EYE SIGHT:
1. Height: 167 cm
2. Chest:
(i) Unexpanded: minimum 80 cm
(ii) Minimum Expansion: 05 cm
3. Eye Sight: 6/6, 6/6 (no spectacles)
4. Hearing: Normal
5. Weight: between 18.5 to 22 BMI

SALARY:
• Pay level: level-3 (₹21700-69100)
• Grade Pay: 2000
• Basic Pay: ₹21,700
• Dearness Allowance (DA): 53% of Basic Pay
• Travelling Allowance: ₹3600 + DA (53%)
• House Rent Allowance (for X-city): 30% of Basic Pay
• Gross Salary: ₹46,000 approx.
• Deductions: NPS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, etc.
• NET (In-hand) salary: ₹41,000 approx.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the service will be done in three stages:
A. Stage-I: PET/PST, Documentation & Trade Test
B. Stage-II: Written Examination
C. Stage-III: Detailed Medical Examination

A. Stage-I: PET/PST, Documentation & Trade Test
This stage will consist of the following sub-stages:
1. Height Bar Test (HBT): It is only qualifying in nature, which will check whether a candidate has minimum height or not.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): In this stage, you have to qualify the following events:
(i) 800 metres run in 3 minutes 15 seconds.
(ii) Long Jump: 11 feet (03 chances)
(iii) High Jump: 3 feet 6 inches (03 chances

3. Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who qualify the Height Bar Test (HBT) will be screened for height, chest and weight by the Board of Officers.

4. Documentation: Original testimonial/documents of the candidates who qualify in HBT & PET/PST will be scrutinized.

5. Trade Test: This stage will be only qualifying in nature, and will consist of qualifying the following tests:
(i) Driving Test for Light Vehicle: 50 marks (qualifying: 25 marks)
(ii) Driving Test for Heavy Vehicle: 50 marks (qualifying: 25 marks)
(iii) Practical knowledge of the motor mechanism and ability to carry out minor repair of vehicles: 30 marks (qualifying: 15 marks)

B. Stage-II: Written Examination:
• Those who qualify HBT, PET/PST and Trade Test, will be called for the Written Exam.
• It will contain one objective type paper, which will contain questions from:
(i) Part-A: General Knowledge/Awareness: 20 questions
(ii) Part-B: Elementary Mathematics: 20 questions
(iii) Part-C: Analytical Aptitude: 20 questions
(iv) Part-D: Ability to Observe & Distinguish: 20 questions
(v) Part-E: Basic Knowledge of English/Hindi: 20 questions
• Each question is of +1 marks
• TOTAL: 100 questions (100 marks)
• TIME: 120 minutes (2 hours)
• There will be no negative marking.
• Qualifying Marks: 35% (33% for SC/ST/OBC)

C. Stage-III: Detailed Medical Examination:
• Those who score high in merit in the written exam, will be called for the Medical Exam.
• Candidates equal to Two (02) times the vacancies will be called for the medical examination.
• Candidates will be declared either FIT or UNFIT.
• No candidate will be declared as temporary unfit.

FINAL SELECTION:
After qualifying all the three stages, final selection to the services will be made on the basis of merit list prepared by marks scored in the Written Examination (Stage-II).
