This Group consists of the following posts:
(i) Chief Cashier (pay level-7) (Group-B)
(ii) Junior Accounts Officer (Accountant) (pay level-6) (Group-B)
(iii) Cashier (pay level-4) (Group-C)
All the posts of this group will have the same exam pattern & merit list, based on which you'll be shortlisted according to your marks and post preference.
VACANCY (in Group-15):
1. Chief Cashier: 01 vacancies
(UR: 01, EWS: 00, OBC: 00, SC: 00, ST: 00)
2. Junior Accounts Officer (Accountant): 16 vacancies
(UR: 14, EWS: 00, OBC: 01, SC: 01, ST: 00)
3. Cashier: 13 vacancies
(UR: 09, EWS: 00, OBC: 02, SC: 01, ST: 01)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 31/01/2025):
1. For the Cashier & Junior Accounts Officer (Accountant):
(i) Bachelor Degree in Commerce from a UGC recognized University; AND,
(ii) At least 2 years' experience of handling accounts work of a Government Organization; AND,
(iii) Proficient in Computer Applications (like MS Office and Tally).
2. For the Chief Cashier:
(i) Bachelor Degree in Commerce from a UGC recognized University; AND,
(ii) At least 5 years' experience of handling cash and accounts work of a Government Organization.
AGE LIMIT (as on 31/01/2025):
• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 30 years
• Maximum: 35 years (for Chief Cashier)
• Age relaxation in the Upper Age Limit will be provided to:
(i) OBC-NCL: 03 years
(ii) SC/ST: 05 years
(iii) PwBD: 10 years (category wise)
(iv) Ex-servicemen: 03 years (after deduction of military service)
(v) Central Civilian Employees (for Group-B): 05 years (category wise)
(vi) Central Civilian Employees (for Group-C): up to 40 years (43 for OBC, 45 for SC/ST)
(vii) Candidates Domicile in J&K (for Group-C): 05 years (category wise)

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the service will be done in only one stage, which is Computer Based Test (CBT).
• Computer Based Test (CBT) will be of 90 minutes duration.
• It will have 100 questions (MCQs)
• Each correct answer will give you +4 marks
• Total Marks will be 400 marks
• These questions will be distributed as follows:
(i) General Knowledge & Aptitude: 25 questions
(ii) Domain Specific Knowledge: 75 questions
(iii) All these 100 questions will be mixed, and divided in five sections, each containing 20 questions, and each section will be of 18 minutes duration.
(iv) After completion of time of one section, the other section will come on your screen, and you can neither go back to previous section nor to the next section, till completion of time of that section (18 minutes).
(v) Negative Marking: One-fourth (-1 marks)
(vi) Qualifying marks: 40% (35% for OBC, 30% for SC/ST/PH).
