EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
1. For Indian Military Academy (IMA) & Officers Training Academy (OTA):
Graduate in any stream from a UGC recognised university.
2. For Air Force Academy:
Bachelor Degree in Any Stream with Physics, Mathematics in 10+2 Level, OR, Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
3. For Indian Naval Academy:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering from any UGC/AICTE recognised university.
NOTE: Appearing/Final Year Candidates are also eligible to apply. But they have to submit proof of Graduation/provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.
AGE LIMIT (as on 01/01/2026):
(i) For Indian Military Academy (IMA): 19 to 24 years
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy (INA): 19 to 24 years
(iii) For Airforce Academy (AFA): 20 to 24 years
(iv) For Officers Training Academy (OTA): 19 to 25 years
MARITAL STATUS:
Candidates must be unmarried at the time of joining. And marriage during the training is also prohibited.
PHYSICAL STANDARD:
(i) Height: 157 (Male) & 152 (Female)
(ii) Body Mass Index should be below 25.
(iii) Waist Circumference should be less than 90 cm for males and 80 cm for females.
SALARY:
• Pay level: level-10 (₹56,100 - 1,77,500)
• Grade Pay: 5400
• Basic Pay: ₹56,100
• Dearness Allowance (DA): 53%
• Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 + DA (53%)
• Travelling Allowance: ₹7200 + DA (53%)
• Gross Salary (excluding HRA): ₹1,18,200 approx.
• Net in-hand salary (excluding HRA): ₹98,628 approx.
(HRA of 30% will be given only in case quarters are not available)
SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the service will be done on the basis of Written Test (Objective) & Interview.
A. Written Test (Objective):
1. For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy:
• It will have three papers:
(i) English: 2 hours & 100 marks
(ii) General Knowledge: 2 hours & 100 marks
(iii) Elementary Mathematics: 2 hours & 100 marks
• TOTAL: 6 hours & 300 marks
• Negative Marking: 1/3rd.
2. For Admission to Officers Training Academy:
• It will have two papers:
(i) English: 2 hours & 100 marks
(ii) General Knowledge: 2 hours & 100 marks
• TOTAL: 4 hours & 200 marks
• Negative Marking: 1/3rd.
B. INTERVIEW:
1. For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy: 300 marks.
2. For Admission to Officers Training Academy: 200 marks.
