EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Graduate in any stream from a UGC recognised university.
NOTE: Appearing/Final year students are also eligible to appear in Prelims. But they will have to submit the proof of passing the exam, and provisional degree in Mains Exam form.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to both the State Services will be done in three stages:
A. Preliminary Examination
B. Main Examination
C. Personality Test/Interview

A. Preliminary Examination:
It will have two compulsory papers:
(i) First Question Paper- General Studies
(Question: 100, Marks: 200, Duration: 2 Hours)
(ii) Second Question Paper- Aptitude Test
(Question: 100, Marks: 200, Duration: 2 Hours)
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 33% (23% for reserved categories).
• Second Question Paper will be of qualifying nature.
• Shortlisting for Mains will be done only on the basis of First Paper.
• Negative Marking: 1/3rd

B. Mains Examination:
It will have seven (7) compulsory papers:
1. Paper-I: Language (3 hours & 200 marks)
2. Paper-II: Essay (3 hours & 200 marks)
3. Paper-III: General Studies-I (3 hours & 200 marks)
4. Paper-IV: General Studies-II (3 hours & 200 marks)
5. Paper-V: General Studies-III (3 hours & 200 marks)
6. Paper-VI: General Studies-IV (3 hours & 200 marks)
7. PaperVII: General Studies-V (3 hours & 200 marks)

C. Personality Test/Interview:
• Candidates who perform well in the Mains Exam, will be shortlisted for the Interview.
• Interview will be of 100 marks.
