Allahabad High Court has released a centralised notification for recruitment of Junior Assistant & Paid Apprentice in Civil Courts of Uttar Pradesh.

VACANCY:
A total of 1054 vacancies have been distributed among the following posts as follows:
1. Junior Assistant: 932 posts
(UR: 375, EWS: 93, OBC: 252, SC: 142, ST: 70)

2. Paid Apprentice: 122 posts
(UR: 50, EWS: 12, OBC: 33, SC: 18, ST: 9)

Yes Other State Candidates can fill this form.
Remember: Other State Candidates will always be considered as General (Unreserved) Candidates.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (For Both Junior Assistant & Paid Apprentice):
(i) 10+2 Intermediate Exam passed from a recognised board.
(ii) CCC Exam Passed.
(iii) Hindi Typing: 25 WPM
(iv) English Typing: 30 WPM

PREFERENCIAL QUALIFICATION:
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
(i) Served in the territorial army for a minimum period of two years, OR,
(ii) Obtained A/B certificate of the N.C.C.

AGE LIMIT (as on 01/07/2024):
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 40 years

• Age relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to:
1. SC, ST, OBC and Dependents of Freedom Fighter (D.F.F.) of Uttar Pradesh: 05 years
2. Skilled Sportspersons of Uttar Pradesh: 05 years
3. Ex Servicemen (ESM) of the State of Uttar Pradesh: 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered.
4. Physically Handicapped of Uttar Pradesh: 15 years

SALARY:
A. For Junior Assistant:

• Level: 3
• Pay Band: 5200-20200
• Grade Pay: 2000
• Basic Pay: ₹21700
• Dearness Allowance: 50%
• Gross Salary: ₹35,500 approx.
• NET (In-hand) Salary: ₹30,500 approx.

B. For Paid Apprentice:
• Level: 2
• Pay Band: 5200-20200
• Grade Pay: 1900 (fixed)
• Basic Pay: ₹19900
• Dearness Allowance: 50%
• Gross Salary: ₹32,500 approx.
• NET (In-hand) Salary: ₹28,200 approx.

NOTE: In case of Paid Apprentice, their Grade Pay is fixed at 1900 GP, that means their Basic Pay will remain the same (₹19,900) in all the 5 years/till the time they get promoted to Junior Assistant. However, they will receive updated rate of Dearness Allowances (DA).

PROBATION PERIOD:
Probation period is of two (2) years.
However, you get all the allowances and full salary during this period.

JOB Profile of Junior Assistant & Paid Apprentice:
Both Junior Assistant & Paid Apprentice have same duties and responsibilities. Their work includes:
1. Perform typing and general clerical work.
2. Managing and arranging important files and documents.
3. Answer and address questions about legal proceedings.
4. Providing Xerox copies of important case documents.
5. Responsible for maintaining physical and computerized court case records.
6. When working as Amin Grade-II, it's your duty to deliver over the possession of lands, houses and other immovable property, in execution of decrees or orders of Court.
7. Investigating or adjusting accounts in any suit or other judicial proceeding.
8. making local investigations when the Court may deem investigation on the spot.
9. Verifying documents, assigning case numbers, and ensuring papers are correctly registered.
10. Retrieve records when required and submit them to judges on time.

PROMOTION:
Promotion is given through two modes:
(a) Seniority basis: at least 10 years service in existing grade.
(b) Departmental Exam: at least 5 years service in existing grade.
Now, the promotion of Paid Apprentice/Junior Assistant takes place as follows:
1. After 5-6 years of service: Paid Apprentice are confirmed as Junior Assistant (5200-20200, 2000 GP)
2. First Promotion (Seniority/Departmental): Senior Assistant (5200-20200, 2800 GP)
3. Second Promotion (Seniority/Departmental): Administrative Officer (AO) (9300-34800, 4200 GP).
4. Third Promotion (Seniority/Departmental): Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) (9300-34800, 4600 GP).
After this grade, they get retired.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the service will be done in two stages:
A. Written Test (100 marks)
B. Skill Test (50 marks)

A. Written Test:
This stage will consist of an Offline pen-paper (OMR) Based Test, which will include questions from:
1. Hindi
2. English
3. General Studies
4. Mathematics
• Total Questions: 100 MCQs
• Total Marks: 100 marks
• Type of Paper: Objective Type (MCQs)
• Total Time: 90 minutes
• Negative Marking: No any.

B. Skill Test/Typing Test:
(i) Hindi Typing: 25 marks
(ii) English Typing: 25 marks
• Total (Typing Test): 50 marks
• Minimum Qualifying marks: 10 out of 25 for both Hindi and English Typing Test.

FINAL MERIT:
Marks of both stages will be considered for preparing the final merit list.
So, Final Merit = 100 + 50 = 150 marks.
