VACANCY:
A total of 548 vacancies have been advertised, which is distributed as follows:
(i) Secondary Education Department: 500 vacancies
• Tribal Sub Plans (TSP) Area: 61 vacancies
• Non TSP Area: 439 vacancies

(ii) Sanskrit Education Department: 48 vacancy
• Tribal Sub Plans (TSP) Area: 04 vacancies
• Non TSP Area: 44 vacancies

Are Other State Candidates Eligible?
Yes Other State Candidates can fill this form. But remember, other states candidates will always be considered as General (Unreserved) Candidates, and can only apply for Non TSP area vacancies.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 27/07/2025):
(i) 12th pass and Certificate in Library Science; OR,
(ii) Bachelor Degree in Library Science or Library Information Science (BLIS); OR,
(iii) Diploma in Library Science or Library Information Science (DLIS)

NOTE: Final Year Students/Appearing Candidates can also apply for this exam, but they must pass their degree/diploma/certificate exams before the Recruitment Exam Date (27/07/2025).

AGE LIMIT (as on 01/01/2026):
• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 40 years
• Age relaxation in the Upper Age Limit will be provided to:
(i) Persons with Disability: 05 years (category wise)
(ii) Female Candidates of General Category/Other State: 05 years
(iii) Male candidates of BC/OBC/SC/ST/EWS of Rajasthan State: 05 years
(iv) Female candidates of BC/OBC/SC/ST/EWS of Rajasthan State: 10 years
(v) Widows and Divorced Women: No Upper Age Limit.
(vi) Ex-servicemen: 10 years (not to exceed 50 years of age).

SALARY:
• Level: 10 (Rajasthan Pay Matrix)
• Pay Band: 9300-34800
• Grade Pay: 3600
• Basic Pay: ₹33800
• Dearness Allowance: 50%
• Other Allowances: HRA, TA, etc
• Deductions: NPS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, Insurance, etc.
• Gross Salary: ₹55,000 approx.
• NET (In-hand) Salary: ₹47,500 approx.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the service will be done through the merit list prepared on the basis of the "Written Test".
The Written Test will be conducted in a single day, and will have two papers:
A. PAPER-I:
• Paper will include the following subjects:
(i) General Knowledge of Rajasthan
(ii) Current Affairs of Rajasthan
(iii) General Knowledge of World and India
(iv) Educational Psychology
• Total: 100 questions
• Total Marks: 200 marks
• Type of Questions: MCQ (five options)
• Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
• Negative Marking: One-third
• Qualifying Marks: 40% (5% relaxation for SC/ST)

B. PAPER-II:
• Paper will include the following subjects:
(i) Universe of Knowledge
(ii) Bibliographic Description
(iii) Methods of Knowledge Organisation
(iv) Subject Classification
• Total: 100 questions
• Total Marks: 200 marks
• Type of Questions: MCQ (five options)
• Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
• Negative Marking: One-third
• Qualifying Marks: 40% (5% relaxation for SC/ST)

GRAND TOTAL (Paper-I + Paper-II): 200 + 200 = 400 marks.
