EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 07/02/2025):
Bachelor Degree in Library Science or Library Information Science (BLIS) from a UGC recognized university.

AGE LIMIT (as on 07/02/2025):
• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 27 years
• Age relaxation in the Upper Age Limit will be provided to:
(i) OBC-NCL: 03 years
(ii) SC/ST: 05 years
(iii) PwBD (UR/EWS): 10 years
(iv) PwBD (OBC-NCL): 13 years
(v) PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
(vi) Ex-servicemen: 03 years (after deduction of military service)
(vii) Central Civilian Employees & Employees of Govt of NCT of Delhi with 3 years service: 05 years

ATTEMPT LIMIT:
There are no restrictions on the number of attempts. You can give unlimited attempts till your upper age limit.

SALARY:
• Pay Level: level-6
• Pay Band: 9300-34800
• Grade Pay: 4200
• Basic Pay: ₹35,400
• Dearness Allowance: 53%
• House Rent Allowance: 30%
• Travelling Allowance: ₹3600 + DA (53%)
• Deductions: NPS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, etc.
• Gross Salary: ₹72,000 approx.
• NET (In-hand) Salary: ₹62,500 approx.

SELECTION PROCESS:
• Selection to the service will be done through the merit list prepared on the basis of a single stage examination.
• The examination will contain questions from the following subjects:
(i) General Aptitude: 50 questions
(ii) General Knowledge: 50 questions
(iii) English Language: 50 questions
(iv) Library Science: 50 questions
• Total: 200 questions
• Each question is of +1 marks
• Total: 200 marks
• Total Time: 2 hours (120 minutes)
• Negative Marking: One-fourth (-0.25 marks)
• Qualifying Marks: 50% (45% for OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PH/ESM).
